Sustainable Compliance Initiative (SCI) Training
FLA SCI Training 2012
The FLA, in collaboration with a group of brands and consultants, has developed the Sustainable Compliance Initiative (SCI), a comprehensive assessment system for measuring factories’ management system practices. The FLA will organize three rounds of SCI training in early 2012 in different countries, to equip PCs'/PSs' staff, FLA and external assessors, and supplier factories, with the necessary understanding and know-how to manage/interpret SCI assessments properly. Details of the SCI training plan are outlined below, and the registration for Round 2 training is now open.

Overview
Starting 2012, FLA will use this new SCI methodology for all of its independent assessments. Some of the FLA's company affiliates will be adopting SCI for internal assessments of their suppliers. We strongly recommend that all exiting and interested service providers attend this training, and interactive four-day workshop to explore the Sustainable Compliance Initiative and how to conduct effective SCI assessments.
